Priorities

  1. To set a baseline against which future change can be monitored using maps, biodiversity survey data/surveys and on farm records.
  2. To enhance biodiversity at a landscape scale by establishing a farmer network that encourages farms into Countryside Stewardship and facilitates training that: extends field margin habitats across farm boundaries, connects chalk grassland, encourages ancient woodland management and collaboration between riparian owners.
  3. To improve water quality, soil health and rates of on-farm carbon sequestration through measures that reduce run-off etc.
  4. To develop the positive profile of farming with local communities.
